My name is Rachael Caringella, though I'm also known as Rachael TreeTalker.
Ever since I was little, I've had a love for trees and all things earthy. I used to climb up my favorite tree and talk to it. I still talk to trees, especially my houseplant, a little umbrella tree named "Pickle."
I was born in Utah and have been making art for as long as I can remember. I've always been drawn to colors, and texture. I love to create child like drawings and paintings. My favorite subjects are birds, trees and people with large pitiful eyes.
In my early twenties I took on a bit of adventure, dropped out of college where I was studying art, and explored the United States. I lived in almost 9 states in just under 2 years. It was one of the best things I have done for myself and my art. I recently moved cross country back to my home state of Utah.
Though I make no plans to stay here, I continue to make art in my little corner of a studio. I dream to one day live in a little cottage in the woods by the sea. Where I can ride a bike to the post office, and plant a huge garden.
I'm inspired by nature, trees, Fairy Tales, mushrooms, cemeteries, dreams, antique bottles, tarot cards and palm reading, acorns, tea sets, tiny mammals, fairy rings, old photographs, ghost stories, small collectibles, paper flowers, gift boxes, and other various containers.
